Introducing

The non-awkward face-to-face photo sharing app.

Let's face it, you're pretty good with that camera on your phone. Or sometimes, it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Have you ever heard someone say:

You have to send me a copy of that photo!

Yes? We though so.

But how? I don't even know this person...

Good question!
The short answer is a free new app called dupligator.
The long answer is a few easy steps:

Step 1

Download Dupligator from the Google Play store.

Step 2

Run Dupligator.

Step 3

Choose the picture.

Step 4

Hold out your phone, and have the other person scan the barcode.

Yes!

Are there ads?

No.

I don't have a barcode scanner app. What do I do?

There are many available for free. I use the one made by zxing.

Sorry, no. I don't own any iOS hardware. Check back later.

What's the privacy policy for Dupligator?

The only link to the photos that you upload is the one that you get back as a QR code. This means that the only people with a link your photos are the people that you share them with. I can't see them myself. However, Dupligator does not use any encryption while transmitting your photos, and makes no attempt to hide them from eavesdroppers or law enforcement. This is intentional. Please use Dupligator to share good memories, not embarrassing or illegal material. I will cooperate with law enforcement, and I reserve the right to shut down the app if someone thinks of some horrible way to use it.

Do you store my photos, or share them with anyone else?

No. Old photos are eventually deleted to make room for new ones.

If I lost a photo that I once shared with Dupligator, can you get it back for me?

No. Once the link in the QR code expires, the photos are gone for good.
